Woodrow Wilson High School is a public secondary school located in the Lakewood neighborhood of East Dallas, Texas (USA). Woodrow enrolls students in grades 9-12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District. In 2009, DISD authorized Woodrow to apply to become certified as the first Dallas school to be authorized as an IB World School offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme,〔"(Woodrow's degree program expected to change school's makeup, academics )." ''Dallas Advocate''. Retrieved on February 22, 2009.〕 a/k/a the IB Degree. It earned its official designation as an IB World School on March 18, 2011. It was named in honor of former U.S. president Woodrow Wilson, who died just three years before the school building was completed.
